Shakers...
Two rhythm shakers made from polymer clay on an egg-shaped base.
Cicada pin.  A rubber stamped image on  terra cotta colored clay,
rubbed with pearlescent powder and layered on another sheet
covered with canework.
Front and back views of a pendant
using a filigree technique, rubbed
with pearlescent powders.
"Crazy Quilt" Pin - Every year I
gather up the canes I've made and
not used all of, reduce them down,
and make a Crazy Quilt cane.  This
is a pin made from a slice of the
first one.  These are becoming
collector's items in my locale.
Indigo Block Pin - I took a class
where we learned to make canes
that imitate different types of
fabric.  This is one of my favorites.
The Moon Goddess Pin - Her body
is made from a stamped sheet of
clay with pearlescent powders
rubbed into the crevices.  She has
a molded face from gold clay.
My "Mother Villager" forms the top
part of a letter opener.  Made from
stamped clay with hand-molded
arms and scarf.  Her face is from a
commercial mold.
This is a work in progress.  The
"halo" is not yet attached to the
face.  I'm not sure if I like it there
or not.  The face is hand molded
and rubbed with pearlescent
powder.
Netted Gourd - knotless netting

beads, and other natural materials.
